Helping to raise funds for the Brazil Short Term Mission Trip 2012. A sponsored walk across the Forth Road Bridge and back on Easter Monday, 9th April. This will be approximately a 3-mile walk.

Coffee afterwards at South Queensferry!

Katie and Stephen's Short-Term Mission Trip to Brazil

We have both been chosen as part of a group of twelve 16-25 year-olds to go on a short term mission trip to Brazil with ActionOverseas. The team will be based in and around Belo Horizonte. We'll be working with local churches, taking part in services and looking to support on-going ministries. We will also be attending the Brazilian Apostolic convention and hanging out with the youth over there. Whilst we're there we will possibly be helping out with a kid's project or in a ministry among the poor.

We'll be spending the first couple of days in a place called Itabirito. There's a fantastic favela kids camp there that we are welcome to visit. There are also a couple of great churches that want us to take part, and we're going to be treated to a Brazilian style BBQ on Sunday. Ian Ross, the STM Leader, has got a contact working on us joining up with YWAM in one of Belo's favelas. We'll do some tourist stuff too.
